Set in 17th century France, film tells the life story and follows the adventures of Cyrano de Bergerac, swordsman and poet with big charisma and even bigger nose, who is madly in love with beautiful Roxanne. When he discovers that she is in love with handsome but shy Christian, Cyrano decides to help him court her, by writing love poems that Christian will give to Roxanne and gain her affection. Cyrano sets up an innocent deception, but the results will be shockingly tragic.
