The Southerner
A drama from 1945 directed by Jean Renoir. Sam Tucker, a cotton picker, looking for ways to better future for his family, decides to grow his own cotton. However, at the very beginning he stumbles on great hardships: a flood and a jealous neighbor. Will he manage to implement the plan despite these difficulties?
